This car generally has yellow lettering although some cars have white lettering.  There are even cars with yellow lettering on one side and white lettering on the other side, as shown below.  It is possible, though probably not likely, that the white lettering is faded yellow lettering.  Some have described the yellow lettering as greenish yellow.  For more details see Gilberthotrains Yahoo group message #763 and following.
